September 19 – Flight of Honor

Posted By Marc Friedland

District 7680 is, once again, sponsoring a trip for World War II veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit their Memorial and other meaningful sites for veterans. It is a way for us to honor these special people who, as a group, were responsible for saving the world from tyranny and for providing us with the opportunities that each of us enjoys. With this flight, we will be able to honor 120 of these heroes. We are asking you to consider sponsoring these special people. The cost per veteran is only $500 (no veteran is asked to pay anything), and, for that amount, you will be giving each veteran a priceless memory. There are also a limited number of guardian positions available for $200. Guardian applications are available on the Flight of Honor website, www.flightofhonor.org. Contributions can come from the club, from individual members or their businesses, or from other persons or entities in your community (in other words, there is no limitation on the source(s) for contributions).
